3s Lipo's - Advice

I heard most of you bandy around the 3S battery term, never got a chance to ask about the differences.

I run 4000Mah 2s Lipos in my rig, but say i wanted to change to 3S, what advantages and disadvatnages do they offer, what will be required to change on the electrics of my rig to allow for 3S, do they incorporate Deans plugs no problems?

Anything else i may have missed, seems you guys raved about them.

3s lipo is 3cells (11.1v)...2s is 2cell (7.4v)...

Advantages= more more power, more torque,
Disadvantages= you will NEED an external bec, possibly overheat your motor if its overgears. Oh and you might find a weak point in you drivetrain...

You're using an FX-r so as long as you keep to a 35t or slower motor, you shouldnt need to do anything other than make sure the lipo cut off is set for 3s lipo and get an external bec.

Deans plugs are on everything. If its not , solder dem b!tches up.
