Trail run 10th september Saturday

Hey guys im going to do a trail run on the 10t h sep "saturday". i was thinking mt cootha , up through the creek systems etc. If your interested hit me up.

I tried to run an event on father day a few year back... i won't make that mistake again.

I'm thinking of heading to the cornubia quarry for a quick test of my new car. It's not painted yet and the battery only half works so a full on trail drive is out for me but since I live close to everyone's favourite quarry I figure a quick bash can't hurt. Probably some time after midday, the usual time for shenanigans (for us) out there is about 2 or 3pm.

got held up this morning and cant make it now , had to paint the last of the jeep now its done. Sorry about that. Im on the northside i could do cootha around 4pm but not logan its to far

That's cool. I just got a text from rellies who want a visit right as I was about to head out there (3pm) so I don't know if I'm going anymore either. HA! As I said cootha is out for me right now because I've only just put the car together so I want to see what nuts fall off, what I forgot to tighten, etc so I don't want to go too far from home. Plus one of the cells in my lipo is dead so it drops off in voltage extremely fast. If all goes well and the car holds up next weekend I can probably do.

I guess it was a bit much to try to do anything on fathers day after all

ok nice ahha. yeah i just finished modding my car. Now its a perfect setup. Im going to be going out on saturday morning to the cootha trails up through the rivers and creeks from around 9 till 11-12 if your up for it.

Well my test run was a great success (turns out the text I got was because he wanted to come with me ). I managed to get up "winch hill" without a winch. At least I think it was winch hill? Only took an SLR so you're stuck with an animated gif of its burst mode for proof

Nothing broke and my battery lasted longer than I expected.



With any luck I should have the thing painted and the winch attached by next weekend.

edit: Actually, next weekend is power cruise I think so I might be at that.

Yeah I swear the last time I was there I saw "Winch ->" written on the ground near that tree but the rain must have washed it away because I couldn't find it. Most of the lines are gone too. Oh well, when I discover the real winch hill I'm now fully prepared! I just finished putting the winch on & modding the skid plate to allow it to poke through.

Park at the end of the road & walk towards the fence and you'll see a walking track on the left.

So this weekend it's either rc trail drive or power cruise. Which to choose

Woulda loved to come but have to be at Gympville so out for this weekend too ohh and now i neeeed to change the gears so i dont keep stipping the losi sh*t 4 sets stripped now rebiuld is in order then I'll fit my higher geared worms too!!!

Which gears? I've got a losi comp crawler, haven't used it much but when I have I've put it through hell and the gears are holding up. I hate those worm gears though, thought about putting axial diffs on it
