For a good price......Ebay.
It depends which side of town you're on, and what exactly you need.
MY personal preference is Mild 2 Wild RC at Arana Hills, decent prices and you can haggle with him as well. Picked up a Honcho from there for $360 without even trying to haggle.
OZ RC at Geebung has a bigger range, but the marked prices are a bit (to alot) higher, but you can haggle with them as well to get the price down.
Or if you're on the south side you've also go Aussiehobbies at Willawong. Same deal there, but they are a bit harder to haggle with.
Which hobby shop you go to is a very personal thing. Its like a good pub... Once you find a good one, you'll go back to it.

i like OZ RC always get a good deal and i very rarely have to hagel with him for a good discount.
Aussiehobbies are also good, you will get a better deal out of Wayne than Mark he is a bit tight.
and i used to get all my building supplies like styrene from Daft crafts and mad models in Beenleigh their rc side of things sucked but they have a great supply of styrene, threaded rod and tube.
Adam.
