the swampers first failings
after running the swampers for 4months or so now. i have loved these tyres, the traction offered on all kinds of different terrains has been unreal and i love the look of them aswell. they have up until now copped everything i have thrown at them, 100-150gs wiehgt hadded to each wheel, a 13.5t brushless set up on 3s and worst of all my driving.
however i found one of the tyres to have about 10mm radial split on an inner side wall, maybe the g8 soft compund has finally shown its flaw, durability.
i am wandering whether or not to go down the swampers path again or broaden my tyre horizons. so im putting it out there for people to share what tyres they have run/are running that they like.
i have only ever run flat irons apart from the swampers and are a killer tyre for there price but for me get let down in the boggier stuff.
cheers for readin my phylisofical tyre rant hahaha

Re: the swampers first failings
hey ads,
I have Roclox, and the baja claws and rate them both. I also run the swampers too. I have not had any issues with durability with any of them even the swampers. Of them all I really love my Claws, they're tall for a 1.9 (=2.2) and they're grip on all surfaces is great. My only concession is that I dont how much harder or softer I treat my rigs though. Hope this helps.

Re: the swampers first failings
yeah cheers for that rich. i had a look at the bajas on az's truck yesterday arvo, to me compared to the swampers they give alot away in sidewall lugs, haha maybe the ground/diff clearence makes up for it im not sure but i no i use the side wall a fair bit
i seem to be gettin drawn to the rc4wd Iroks everytime i have a look around to aid my confusion they look to have a good sidewall and a heap taller than the swampers but not quite there with the bajas.
cheers for the input mate
has anyone run the iroks?

Hehehe, I run the IROKs too, I have just re-instated them to my Honcho and moved the Claws back to my Hi-lux. I reckon they are both awesome. I cant pick between them.

I will have the lux there with the new iroks on it. now that i have glued them on the rims they seem to work really well now. you can actually hear them gripping on the ground.

sounds like a plan, I dont compete anymore so I'll just drive and heckle the rest of you.
to be honest it would be so hard to say which are better out of the 3, I rate them all! I've just put a set of 1.9 swampers on 2.2 rims, lower profile = better side angles and it fattens the tread out too. I will be heading out this weekend around glasshouse for a trail walk to see how they hold up.

its more of a social event rich , simple rules ; full length chassis , shaft driven & 1.9 size wheel & tyres.thats it !!!!
a couple of out of bound penaltys but also some bonus lines to test ya skills ,
its all about the social side & not much on the comp side of it .
so if ya keen mate your more than welcome .

I like the sound of that, now someone give me the details of where and when.
I need to sort some new batts, I bought the new nano-tech ones and 3 out of the 6 bought have died, including one that caught fire.
