Classic Brisbane toy (hobby) shop interaction

So its me birthday next week and the possibility has come for me to get another truck. When Carter was born last august, I wondered over to the shopping centre for a coffee fix and saw a toy shop with an axial RTR AX10 hanging up. Didn't ask how much as I had caffeine on my mind. So yesterday me n the fam were up at that shopping centre and I thought I'd ask:

Me: (pointing at the truck) Hey mate, how much for the ax10 rtr ?
'assistant': ah um, we've actually sold out of ax10's that we had .......(keep in mind there was a ARR AX10 behind him)

I wanted to reach over and...........but I walked away.

Does not surprise me in the slightest my friend.... Face-palm moment.
There are a few good ones...But, the bad ones outweigh the good by a long shot.
