Re: 3racing winch question
Yeah they will, they are designed to run of straight 2s lipo. So no issues at all.

Re: 3racing winch question
From my understanding it is only when you go up to a 3s that you start to have issues.

Re: 3racing winch question
i run my 3racing winch off a small 6v nm battery under the bonnet of the hilux. that way i get no issues with draining the main battery if you are worried.

The winches themselves are fine, just clean & lube the gear box after you've been out bogging. The control units dont like wanter at all, so keep them high & dry and it'll be fine.

i have actually put my transceiver inside an empty match box. perfect fit and then bound the whole thing up in electrical tape. no more water probs.

Re: 3racing winch question
the battery im gunna power the winch off is a small losi micro lipo battery mounted inside a tictac box with the toggle switch inside it, wire down to a plug and hook it up like a plug in winch not remote.....
(i dont have a 3rd channel on my controller and dont have a wireless winch)
my 3racing winch still looks like new and shes been drenched many times......

Re: 3racing winch question
its done and it works.......
battery next to a losi mini rx for size comparison
battery, came with my losi micro (seems to last a while dragging my truck up and down)
just gotta peel the stickers off, paint the casing and should look sweet
used the small hole on the bar for a mounting position
proof it works (WOOHOO......)

Re: 3racing winch question
very neat....except when the front of your truck is buried down in the mud how do you get at the plug ? not allowed to touch your truck when winching. ie lift it up to plug the switch in.
had you thought about mounting the plug a little higher, somewhere where it wont get filled with mud and dirt and be readily accessable if need be.
otherwise very ingenious and I have learnt something very cool.

yup, after i took the shots and actually looked at it i thought it might need to be re-located, thinken about using the fuel cap on the fake tank on the honcho tray
