did ya grab some springs from bunnings yet ???
Nah not yet. Well got the tyres and body today only to find the Comanche cab split 70mm up the back passenger side corner and the other rear corner is close to spliting also It wasnt cut as it was up against the style side tub and the packet wasnt damaged I have sent RC4WD an email, so see what we get sorted out.
But on a good note the Iroks look awesome on the black steelies they are only a fly sh*t smaller then my 2.2 Rock Claws too
Also the chassis mods are done and a quick paint job today. I will let it dry and assemble tomorrow if i get a chance and have some sort of chassis up and running
Cheers all Mick

A few up date pics chassis painted and all put together just got to drill the extra holes for the upper arms in the sections I added to the chassis and I'll be happy for now.
Also got some loner shocks to fit to drop the centre of gravity down will post pics of them fitted later!
New wheels and tyres!!
Here are my 2.2 rock claws next to the new Iroks!
Still a working progress
Cheers everyone for their comments and help

update
Well was sick as a dog today (metal fume fever last night from welding gal all day ) so mucked around with the truck a bit. I got new hitec servo fitted, and drilled holes for the upper arms to mount 5mm higher now have less bind on arms will post pics later. Looking at adding a bit of weight to the front see how it goes!

Here's the pics of todays effort, got better flex and much better turning with the Hitec servo I even put the 2.2 weighted wheels on for a bash and it was sweet! Also drilled the rims as they where too hard now good conformation on the rocks! Stoked how she works, now just need some weight in it MY body and she'll be a ripper!! Pics tell the story

Re: First try Lnc to scaler
i like how the suspension seems to be working so plush mate very handy to have a steady and predicatble set up.
its a new truck aswell with a better servo, u can choose your lines much more freely.
have you tried adding weight to the 1.9's. my swampers dont have vents in the rims just 150g of weight in each rim and they bag out heaps and are water tight aswell. also puts wieght low for a bit better C.O.G. or as troys said before u can always tap it out to m3 and put a grub screw in for the wet days.

Cheers Ads! Woulda liked putting some weight in the tyres (dont have none ) just vented the rims for now. These have reinforced sidewalls so they are alot stiffer then yours, so weights would be great as well. as for water proof now either that or I'll tig em up if i change plans as i drilled two 3mm hole in the inner alloy beadlock holder. See how we go for the comp just no water atm LOL the electrics will need to be changed anyway before i go river crossing

Re: First try Lnc to scaler
yea both ways work well, but if you got no weights you got no weights bursons or repco should have strips of stick wheel wights for a decent price. thats all i have been using in both my 1.9s(honcho) & 2.2s LNC seems to work well.
the main thing is she's right to go for the weekend, then you can go from there. you will have plenty of ideas of what you'd like to do after seeing how it drives on all the different tracks and talking to other people & seeing what they have done with there trucks.

Spewin that RC4wd still have not made an effort to get back to me. I have since resent that email along with a bit more of a ribbing and they finally got back and said "please wait, let me check with out team" not impressed with there service at all!!!!
So will be running Az's bod looking at doing a bit of bar work to help protect it a bit but otherwise same as last weekend with the few mods

Well done some shopping New HR shocks , punisher shafts, 17 degree rod ends, new body, new motor and esc, can't wait!
As for RC4WD they are a bunch of and the damaged body is now being sent back to them getting refunded and going elsewhere for my parts (yes I know they make half this gear but they have been the worst company I have ever delt with) so no more direct dealings with the

Sucks to hear about the #### fight with RC4wd Mick. Sad part is its not uncommon when dealing with them directly.
Try going through Team GoNads or Tulare Hobbies next time...they stock all the RC4wd gear, pretty much the same price & i've never had an issue with them thus far.

Will pull the diffs apart and lube em up to hopefully quite them down a bit transfer is abit noisey too, just the gears on the back squell like a pig
